“David is focused on directing his first Netflix film Mank and on producing the second season of Love, Death and Robots,” a Netflix spokesperson said in a statement. “He may revisit Mindhunter again in the future, but in the meantime felt it wasn’t fair to the actors to hold them from seeking other work while he was exploring new work of his own.”
Maybe you should read it artemis lol

It's actually thoughtful of Fincher not to keep the cast from getting other work because of their contracts.

I mean I'd rather have this sooner than later too but I love that Fincher is finally making another film and I figure it only strengthens his relationship with Netflix i.e. I don't see him leave them or anything like that. I think he'll get around to Mindhunter 3 and like with the second season, writing just takes a long time because of how dialogue driven it all is.

lol I did read it. I was referencing the "wtf i hate" meme lol.

I understand though and I am excited to see new work from Fincher. And I quite liked the first season of Love, Death, Robots.

I'll also be supporting the cast of Mindhunter in whatever else they do. Our boy Bill is going to be in Nightmatre Alley!!!!!!!!!

It is disappointing news. Mindhunter is one of the best tv series out there--production values, script and direction in particular are all top tier stuff.

For anyone here who hasn't seen it--if you enjoyed Zodiac and Se7en, it is essentially that but in tv series form--it really is that well done.
