I love watching Directorial Debuts. Especially after I've gotten to know a director, it's fun to go and look back at their beginnings.

What is your favorite or what do you consider to be the best first film by a Director?

For example:

Quentin Tarantino's, Reservoir Dogs
Darren Aronofsky's, Pi
Christopher Nolan's, Following
Shane Carruth's, Primer
Wes Anderson's, Bottle Rocket
Terrance Malick's, Badlands
David Lynch's, Eraserhead

Don't be limited by these. Feel free to choose from any film era and recommend titles maybe many of us haven't seen from directors some aren't familiar with.

Chiefly because it's not his debut.
