Re: Black Widow (2020)

I wasn’t impressed by the cinematography either. Fallout and Annihilation looked incredible.

Re: 1917 (2019)

Good film but definitely not on Dunkirk’s level. The story is very simple (which isn’t bad necessarily) but at the end it left me with the feeling: that was it? I don’t really understand the early reactions saying it’s better than Dunkirk, hinting at the character development or what not. That to me...

Re: No Time To Die (2020)

Maybe I didn’t explain it right  Of course they were satisfied with the result but the process was probably so dreadful. According to my source, Nolan wasn’t pleased with Zimmer having to leave for tour without finishing the score. Balfe came in to oversee the final stages. Picture changes are ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHBHLGnGyvg -21:39: Nolan talks about the script and the score -24:53: Mentions the music teams’ frustration. -27:05: Mentions the music mixing process - no cutting. Imagine working with so many layers, trying to hit the marks with simultaneous tempo changes. Difficul...

Re: No Time To Die (2020)

Seems like it was technically challenging and very stressful. Things kept changing and Nolan seems to have been very demanding - and probably neither were happy lol. I mean according to Zimmer, Nolan insisted they go through with the method they ended up using (which is being kept a secret) even tho...

I've heard this mentioned before. Do you have a link to where this is being reported? I'd be interested in reading about it.
No. Just from conversations with the site’s admin. But keep checking Zimmer’s site.

Re: No Time To Die (2020)

The difference between this and BR2049 is that Villeneuve/Walker approached Zimmer in the middle of his tour. He might’ve had a bigger role on this. And him not doing Tenet wasn’t about effort, scheduling or priorities, apparently. It seems like scoring Dunkirk wasn’t a very pleasant experience. He ...
