Nolan on James Cameron's Story of Sci Fi

This show will be of interest as there are many filmmakers interviewed and many great sci-fi movies/themes will be discussed. Watching Ep 1 -- there's an interesting bit with Nolan (at approx 18-min mark) discussing ...

Got it from here - http://www.soundtrack.net/movie/dunkirk-2017/
Wallfisch has worked w/ Zimmer previously, notably on Hidden Figures - a wonderful score in my view.

Re: Dunkirk General Information

Not sure if this has been posted already, but there's an article from The Cinema Editor on Dunkirk: https://americancinemaeditors.org/dunkirk/ Interesting read, not much by the way of new info, although below are the comments regarding IMAX & film formats: Nolan is renowned for favoring film origina...

Re: Budget

About Atonement - I recall reading an in depth profile at the time, because I was very impressed by that shot. The one-shot sequence at Dunkirk was filmed in a single day. They rehearsed the majority of the day, and then if I recall they did 3-5 takes at the end of the day during magic hour just bef...

Plus his history shows some Interstellar/Nolan bashing. Likely he's trolling, but you never know. Could be the truth.

Re: Interstellar's Soundtrack

They are available from Paramount's awards site and i assume they can be downloaded there. Not sure what the quality is either, these web clips are usually low bit rate. Below are all the links. Docking music is track 28. It looks like the deluxe soundtrack was pretty complete, there are about 10 tr...

Re: Interstellar "sound mix issues"

Saw it in digital IMAX, and it was not too loud (the trailers were far louder than anything in the movie). In fact, in Michael Caine's final scene I would argue its too soft. Overall, the mix was a bit muddy, a few key scenes where i missed some dialogue - but not so bad that i couldnt follow the st...
