One word: miniatures. Also, tank a là "tanker".

The tank was always a rumor and could've been a mistranslation. If there even is a tank, it would never have made sense to drive the tank through their busiest highway. A tank would destroy their roads.
Look up how they did the train street scene in Inception. Strictly the train itself wasn't CGI, but it also wasn't a miniature. It was a cleverly made grand scale physical stunt vehicle that looked very believably like a train. CGI was only very lightly used for touching up some details, and that's it.

If Nolan is going to include a tank at all in Tenet, it's likely going to either be a real tank, or a grand scale physical stunt vehicle that will be very believable as a tank. Very unlikely that they will use miniature of a tank in an outdoor scene, unless it's a very large scale 'miniature', which then makes it simply a grand scale physical stunt vehicle. This is also obvious, but Nolan would never do a fully CGI tank.

It's fairly easy to just "dress up" a truck or bus to look like a tank, as in, it has the outer body of a tank with the inner workings of a truck. Most likely cheaper than operating a real tank, too.

Yeah, you're probably right. I was just eager to see something crazy regarding practical effects. There's still time, though.

But what about the damn tank, what happened to that?
Baseless rumour from a tabloid.

This morning the first shots took place in Villa Cimbrone, while in these minutes they are covering the outer pier of Amalfi and a yacht moored right in front of the maritime city.

The harbor master's office is circumscribing the shooting area to prevent them from being interrupted by some curious while, at the port of Maiori, around 6 red rubber dinghies are moored which are at the service of machinery transport production.
