Any particular reason why you’re not going for 70mm for first view? I may be able to do 35mm first or 4K digital. I’m def seeing it twice so not sure which I should do first.

print quality is crazy variable. You can be walking into a really bad experience or a really great one. I'm own an Insurance Agency, so obviously I don't love risk.

also the sound and the music box isn't great

also also, 70mm blow ups can really go either way.

Good point. My theater that has Dolby still doesn’t have showings listed. :| Is it even going to get Dolby screens?

i say go for the film. it’s not an experience that you can get a ton anymore, and (people care about this to varying degrees) it’s probably how the filmmakers would prefer it to be seen. and the longer you wait, the more dirt and scratches the print will accumulate

but to Vader’s point, my Hateful Eight print broke halfway through and they had to switch to digital, so i always get a bit nervous when the lights go down

Well, as I say, this is why I'm doing 4K first so my first experience leaves less to chance while getting the novelty on the second viewing.

No Dolby though. lion king is there instead the next couple weeks.
