this will be of quality
as a resident DP, wondering if you think they chose a somewhat dry visual style to make the VFX easier to handle

this does look great, hoping for the best.

well i'd certainly hope not. to me it feels like a prestige film where you're showcasing the performances and the camera is more out of the way. which is cool! some bits remind me of the godfather in that way

and yes the trailer is gross but we're all scholars who can see past the edit so who curr

Both trailers are wildly at odds with the actual tone and pacing of the film if we're to believe people who worked on it.
Eh, they're trying to sell it as the typical Scorsese gangster flick with his trademark kinetic energy. It doesn't really matter, it's just a trailer.

Don't forget that Thelma said the film is very funny too. This looks very in line with the book and what I imagined Marty would make. Great trailer. And of course, it looks even more flawless on Netflix itself.

If I'm not mistaken, the first screening is at 3PM.

A screening is already happening. I have friends in it. The question is whether it's embargoed.

The press screening is underway and there will be a press conference featuring Scorsese and the cast afterwards.

Ah, the website show times must be referring to general public screenings then.
