Another cracking season of the Crown.

Foy is astonishing as Elizabeth and Smith extraordinary as Phillip.

This just pulls you in and compells you from beginning to end. Paterfamilias was a particular highlight.

The writing just stands out, I watch Victoria with my Wife and it's quaint and passes the time but compared to this it really just shows the majority of UK terrestrial drama up for what they are.

The likes of HBO & Netflix are running rings around most of UK terrestrial drama these days, there are exceptions like Peaky Blinders but they are few and far between.

The recasting of The Crown is going to fascinating, Olivia Coleman is for me a great choice to take over Foy but who gets to be Phillip is going to be most interesting. I've heard some mention Eccleston on here and I think he'd be great but it seems that Matt Smith already has an idea he knows who it is and that person some are speculating is Ralph Fiennes.

I think Fiennes would be terrific.

Please be true. I am constantly blown by this... beast, of a series.

Change in the Queen casting will be toughest to accept, I think.
