Here's an excerpt from Peter Biskind's (Easy Riders, Raging Bulls) recent book The Sky Is Falling about how political extremism in American movies and TV gave us Trump or something bla bla bla.

Re: Tenet - General Information/Discussion/Speculation

I know that by this point Nolan is basically the main selling point of his own films, but $200 million still seems astoundingly high for a non-franchise film considering there's no one in the cast that has the star power of someone like Leonardo DiCaprio to justify that large of a budget, if it is i...

Re: Ludwig Göransson will compose Tenet

Zimmer was likely too busy. Zimmer was pretty busy during Dunkirk. He had a lot of help on Dunkirk as well. There's a possibility Nolan didn't want a fractured Zimmer, nor did Zimmer want to offer a fractured self. It's possible Zimmer even recommended Göransson. He is indeed busy. He's scoring 4 m...

Re: Tenet - General Information/Discussion/Speculation

Any idea why Lee Smith isn't going to be editing this film? He's edited everything Nolan has done since Batman Begins. I know Zimmer's scoring 4 movies that are being released in 2020, but Smith doesn't seem to have anything he's working on next year.

Re: A Hidden Life (2019)

Really looking forward to this. Looks like his most interesting film in quite a while. The reception seems to have been less divisive than The Tree of Life was when it premiered at Cannes back in 2011. I will say, though, that I have seen some negative reactions out there (Collider, The Hollywood Re...

Re: Avengers: Endgame (2019)

Finally caught up with this earlier today. I can't say I've been a huge fan of many of the films in the MCU over the years, but this one was pretty good. I'd give it 4/5.

Re: NBA Discussion Thread

I'm not even a Rockets fan, but I was pulling for them beat Golden State tonight and lead the series. Oh well. At least the Bucks knocked the Celtics out for good.

Re: Official WWE thread

Not sure if anyone here watched WrestleMania, but god damn it was long as hell. WWE really needs to trim the running time down.

Re: Official WWE thread

The WWE's website updated their list of the 35 best WrestleMania matches just a few days ago. The only new entry seems to be the Ronda Rousey debut match from last year, which is ranked at number 17. Here's the top 10: 10. Shawn Michaels vs. Ric Flair — Career-Threatening Match ( WrestleMania XXIV )...
