Re: Teaser/Trailer #1

"Time has come for a new _" could mean "It's time for a new _" or it could mean time literally personified is hungry and has come searching for some grub.

And it's too funny that this is coming out hours after the trailer for 1917, which is using pretty much the same tagline/motif.

Re: Teaser/Trailer #1

The fact that they managed to keep this under wraps (no trailer ratings leaks, no theater DCP leaks, etc.) is impressive as hell. Maybe the fact it seems to be US-only helped? Because we knew about Dunkirk's teaser like a week out, right, because of the inescapable trailer-rating-leaks coming from t...

Re: Teaser/Trailer #1

We also live in a world where because of those very reasons, everyone assumes that someone else will do it and no one ends up doing it :P

Re: 1917 (2019)

I never understood why that scene received so much praise, when we got pretty much the same scene done better earlier that same year:

Chef's speech is natural and emotional, whereas Birdman's comes off as rambling and pseudointellectual.

Re: Teaser/Trailer #1

How can a teaser to be ready to be played in theaters in a few days' time, and the only people who know about it are random people on Twitter? Has that happened before? But the teaser description itself sounds legit, because I see people still thinking that Mr. Pattinson is the lead, and that would ...

Re: 1917 (2019)

OK so it's a much more conventional "man on a mission" type of war movie, where the protagonist is firmly in control of events and keeps pushing the story forward to new locales. (That's one of the biggest problems that casual audiences had with Dunkirk, that the protagonists were helpless and kept ...

Re: Teaser/Trailer #1

I bet Nolan is annoyed by the idea of The Joker movie. Might be with something else. It Chapter Two seems more likely. I'm wondering if he isn't bit annoyed by the thematically similar movies which are coming out lately: Gravity - Interstellar Hacksaw Ridge - Dunkirk Bond - Tenet. Gravity - Yes, be...

Re: Set Photos/Videos (Potential Spoilers)

Nolan said he decided not to use IMAX on Inception because it wasn't right for it. You can read it in an article from that time. He specifically said IMAX wasn't right for Inception. That's what he said at the time, yes, when he had used IMAX in only a handful of sequences on just one film. Since t...

Re: Set Photos/Videos (Potential Spoilers)

If for some reason he had held off on making Inception in 2009 and decided to make it today, he definitely would be filming it in IMAX. Nolan said he decided not to use IMAX on Inception because it wasn't right for it. You can read it in an article from that time. He specifically said IMAX wasn't r...
