Liz & Dick (2013)

I am anticipating Mommie Dearest-class unintentional hilarity.

Wreck-it-Ralph (2012)

I wish some of the gags were a bit stronger (especially if they're the ones they're using for the trailer), but this is such an adorable concept and Rich Moore, being a Futurama alum, has my interest.

Seeing M. Bison, Zangief et al is a blast. Can't wait to see who else cameos.

Controversial opinions about movies

If we're talking controversial opinions about Scott's films, I can't stand bloody Gladiator . Loved Black Hawk Down though, so there you go. It was a natural, stripped back progression from Saving Private Ryan , I thought. There's value to a film that can immerse you totally in a foreign situation. ...

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)

Interesting. I can't quite remember what Up 's schedule was - I think we had that one delayed, but there's no way they were ever going to delay Toy Story 3 . Right, The Amazing Spider-Man is not a primer for Brave . The interesting thing about it is that because it's such a loaded blockbuster season...

Top 5 Most Anticipated Performances for 2012.

I see a lot of people aren't listing Tom Hardy as Bane. Have they been watching the trailers? I was trying to restrain myself to one actor per film, and purely because of the character's predicament I'm fascinated by what Bale will bring to the table. But then there are lots of elements that ...

The Master (2012)

Interesting, old PTA dumped his long time cinematographer for some dude called Mihai Malaimare Jr. Someone who's worked with Coppola on his last few films. Tetro has fantastic cinematography. Malaimare's work is one of the things i'm most excited about for this movie. In 65MM, no less. A neat idea....

Django Unchained (2012)

Allstar wrote:This movie is going to be a big tub of popcorn heaven.
That's the amazing thing about Tarantino. The films have heft and explore interesting ideas, and yet they're also just an indecent amount of fun as well. Very few can pull off that balancing act. Wilder would be one.

Ridley Scott To Direct and Produce New ‘Blade Runner’ Film

I don't think I could think of anything worse than Blade Runner being revisited. As it stands, it's like the cool younger brother of 2001 , and sometimes these films just need to stand alone (like Inception for example). If Prometheus is an indicator of how Scott feels he needs to interpret his past...

Prometheus (2012)

What do you think of Skyfall's cinematography, judging from the trailer? It's a little bit hard to say, since I've only seen it on a computer. I'll have stronger thoughts when I see it in a theatre, but I think Deakins is several rungs above Wolski - his photography is highly original and really st...

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)

Australia. Although it seems we are getting in sync with the US. Which is neat. I remember having to wait ages for Wall-E.
