Re: Diary: A NolanFans Story

WW was not distributed in many countries which was stupid of course, because censorship is not a good solution, but at least Warner Bros paid for the comments. In the meantime, nobody is giving a shit about Hong Kong, and Mulan is going to make a billion. It hasn't happened yet, but when the actress...

"Someone" is Matt Zoller Seitz, one of the most important critic in USA today, he's not just a random person on twitter.

Re: Best Films of the Decade 2010-2019

First approach (chonological):
Blue Valentine
Skyfall
Interstellar
The big short (gotta have a comedy)
The lost city of Z
Dunkirk
First man
Roma
Parasite
The Irishman

Podium: 1: Interstellar; 2: The Irishman; 3: First man
Of course, the list changes every day.

Re: No Time To Die (2020)

I love that they're assuming Spectre and not trying to erase it. Diamonds are forever going in a completely different direction than what OHMSS led to, is the worst decision that Eon made, and because of it, the seventies is the weakest decade of Bond (Golden Gun, Moonraker...). And all the controve...

Re: Most Anticipated Movies of 2020

Agree with Top 4; but as super-hero movie go, I anticipate Venom and BW much less than Eternals and WW (not that I'm even a big fan of the first WW, but I think that this time, Jenkins will be able to do whatever she wants, and there's Kristen Wiig). I would normally be very excited for a Joe Wright...

Since this is the thread for Controversial opinions, my favourite Scorsese; The Irishman and ...Hugo (made me feel I was learning how to watch films all over again).

Re: The Irishman (2019)

About voice-over, I agree that Scorsese tend to use it to often in his films. In The Departed, Gangs of New York... it's doesn't bring much. In The age of innocence, which is one of my favourite Scorsese, Joanne Woodward reads parts of the book, but Scorsese isn't able to do this book/film mix as we...
