Re: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)

#releasethejjcut is trending on twitter, lol. It's mostly based on some "source" that revealed what she/he thinks was cut and added by Disney.

Re: The Nolanfans Film Awards 2020 - (FYC/Discussion)

Freedom, freedom, freedoooom oooh Freedooom!!! (with Aretha Franklin's voice)
Let people vote for what they want, and suppose they are conscious that by voting for film people have not yet seen or have seen a long time ago, they reduce their chances of having an impact on the final result of the vote.

Re: Annette (2018)

Updating the thread: the film should be released this year. Rooney Mara was replaced by Michelle Williams, who was then replaced by Marion Cotillard.

Re: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)

It's just that drama is often based on emotion. We've also had this year men doing crazy things (Parasite) or saying crazy stuff (Marriage story) based on emotion. Also The Irishman and Ad Astra were much about the toxic masculinity that comes from not confronting one's emotion.

Re: Favorite Christmas Movie (Poll)

The appartment and The shop around the corner are also two masterpieces. But It's a wonderful life will always be the best christmas movie.
Also Edward Scissorhands is probably my favourite Burton.

Re: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)

Even if there was detailed groundwork laid before TFA for the entire ST with unified creative vision at helm, it's anyway extremely tricky to tell one story over 3 films of consistent quality. Apart from LOTR, the only other instance I can think of is Bourne trilogy. That being said, TROS suffers h...

Re: Star Wars Universe Discussion Thread

TPM ANH ESB TROS ROTJ TFA TLJ ROTS AOTC I wonder if it starts from the bottom or the top. I like all trilogies the same I guess. I have a sweet spot for AOTC that can be summed up in the scene when Anakin and Padme enter the arena: the dialogues are stupid, the visuals are fake, yet the music start...

Re: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)

I had a dream that the broom kid would come back in that film. In fact I wanted Rey and the resistance to come to Crait and the broom kid to ask "Have you come to free us?" and Rey to say "Hell, yeah!". It would have made a big link with the prequels, where the Republic doesn't care for the slaves o...
