https://twitter.com/ForArya/status/1188186578071556102?s=19 D&D did a Q&A at Austin Film Fest yesterday. Some of these answers are just kinda appalling.... Which one? I don't really get all the hateful comments following the Q&A, some are even pretty anti-semite imo. I think the ones about them cas...

Re: HBO's House of the Dragon

I'd like to think it's GRRM who chose which prequel to push forward, but it's unlikely. I have doubts as to Sapochnik's ability as a showrunner, this completely different for him. And I did hope he'd work again with D&D on Netflix or would be given a big blockbuster to handle (I think he just finish...

Re: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)

Contracts for the billing order were most likely signed before TFA. Indeed the billing order is very much the same film after film, except Hamill is after Fisher this time, but it might be Hamill paying hommage to Fisher. When TFA was done, Ridley was an unknown, and Driver was not the big star he i...

In for anything Driver does. Also Driver adding Ridley Scott to the list of director he has worked with... What a career he's making!

Re: Last Film You Watched? VI

That film is just so wonderfully over-the-top. Keanu Reeves' performance is the only thing I do not like about it. Everything else is glorious Goth and atmospheric, just one of the best vampire films ever made. lmao yeah. reeves is horribly miscast, and, throw tomatoes at me, i think ryder is also ...

Funny that whilst we were remembering in the MCU thread that Cameron disliked The Force Awakens, critics were mostly comparing his latest production to TFA...
I have not seen the film so it's not really a spoiler, but
I'd be surprised if Sarah Connor survives.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe Discussion Thread

Many of our grandfathers thought all gangster movies were the same, often calling them “despicable”. Some of our great grandfathers thought the same of westerns, and believed the films of John Ford, Sam Peckinpah, and Sergio Leone were all exactly the same. I remember a great uncle to whom I was ra...

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe Discussion Thread

Yep, this is not a DC vs Marvel thing. This is a Nolan/Raimi/Burton's singular super-hero movies versus big blockbuster controled by their producers, in Scorsese's and Coppola's mind. Also they say MCU but when they say that, they definitely also have in mind Fast and furious, all the many remakes....

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe Discussion Thread

Once again DC fandom are eating these comments up. Coppola disliking Iron Man doesn't mean he loves Aquaman . Yep, this is not a DC vs Marvel thing.
