Ready or Not

I went blind for this and turned out to be surprisingly really good. Surprising because the sub-genre has been done to death, but the film makers subvert all the tropes only sightly but enough to keep it quite fresh.

Short Night of Glass Dolls (1971) This was freaking great. Extremely compelling mystery(two actually) followed by shocking resolution, and aided by very solid direction. It needs to be discussed more when talking about giallo. Also it abandons few of the common giallo tropes which makes it refreshi...

Can't read the whole article, but there were several scenes I found too "yellow". And I don't easily notice such things.
