Re: Bad Boys for Life (2020)

This movie made like 70 million this weekend and none of you Star Wars nerds saw it?!? JK It was pretty good, a fun nostalgia throw-back to 90's action flicks. If you like the other ones, you'll have a good time. Kinda miss the chaotic over-the-top Bayhem action of the second one, though. But Will a...

Re: 2019-2020 Awards Season

Not my issue with the movie, but you see a lot of tweets complaining about it being another movie being championed by old, white guys. This especially being an issue for people coming off Green Book's win last year.

Re: 2019-2020 Awards Season

I try not to get upset by the Oscars anymore and remind my self in the long run it's meaningless. But, if "1917" wins over "Parasite" or "OUATIH"...

Re: HBO's Watchmen

For the best, pursuing future seasons it will be hard to maintain the social commentary vibe and it would divulge into a more standard superhero show.

Re: Joker (2019)

I know many of you don't like the film, but the film was nominated in 10 other categories, so just from a logic standpoint wouldn't it make sense to also nominated the person who is responsible for overseeing everyone else's work.

Re: TENET - General Information/Discussion/Speculation

Former Hockey player Sean Avery for some reason has a role in "Tenet". He was on a recent podcast and briefly talks about his time on set. He doesn't give any details, though he mentions Blackhawk helicopters so he likely was on the Desert Mountain set. He does have complementary things to say about...

Re: HBO's The Outsider

Anybody else watch the first two episodes last night? Feels like True Detective mixed with a hint of the supernatural. A slow burn but pretty good set up. Ben Mendelsohn is great as usual, and Jason Bateman is quickly becoming one of the best directors in TV.

Looking forward to this season. I'm one of a handful of people that really liked the second season.

Re: 2019-2020 Awards Season

I got a legit question, don't know where else to ask it. I've been ready tweets about the Oscars lack of diversity and many are saying that Banderas is not a person of color but a white European. How so? dude you’ve literally asked this same question before and i answered you. spanish people aren’t...
