Re: Last Film You Watched? VI

Game Night This was good, but sadly not great. I think it gets too convoluted for its own good and I wished the film really stuck with a game-themed story all the way through. That is not to say that I didn't laugh or that I did not enjoy the performances but overall, some of the characters do not ...

Re: 1917 (2019)

I liked this but man did it so not leave an impression on me when it was over. I loved Deakins obviously and McKay was very good. The night scenes, the journey to the German bunker, and the bombs going off trying to get to Mackenzie were standouts for me. So would your verdict be something like 'go...

The Little Foxes (1941) This film hit hard emotionally. I got emotional at about two points and people who have seen the film will likely know which scenes I'm referring to. It is a rather brutal presentation of insidious, two-faced human greed and misanthropy but it also brings to you in a sad and...

Re: No Time To Die (2020)

The Batman trilogy I made up in my head. Most awesome films ever imagined. Elaborate Here are short premises of what I had created in my mind. Of course noone knows how the stories go but me. Son of Gotham : Bruce Wayne at the beginning of his crime-fighting career as the intimidating Batman is con...

Re: 2019-2020 Awards Season

Joker was a decent film but not deserving of this many nominations.

Re: Birds of Prey (2020)

I mean, nothing prevents them from doing flashbacks to give the general moviegoing public more of a sense of what their relationship is like. I'm not saying we need to see a 'Carlo beats Connie'-style sequence but in essence Harley's relationship to the Joker is an abusive relationship where he beat...
