Re: TENET - General Information/Discussion/Speculation

I just realized John David Washington's character is wearing a grey suit that looks remarkably like Cary Grant's grey suit in North By Northwest. And yes, I'm embarrassed that I just noticed that. https://cdn.hipwallpaper.com/i/58/80/vAs2wP.jpg The boat stuff is giving me a Lady from Sha...

Re: TENET - General Information/Discussion/Speculation

Do you guys think that Nolan might have some inspiration from this film starring JDW's father since there is also some time related stuff in there? https://filmogtro.dk/uploads/pics/Dejavu.jpg Definitely. Nolan is big Tony Scott fan (and I'm just gonna go out on a limb and say Nolan is Denzil fan a...

Re: Teaser/Trailer #1

It's relatively safe to assume (putting in spoilers to be safe, but this is speculation) the footage of JDW checking out the glass was shot specifically for the teaser. Similar to how a few shots in the Inception and Interstellar teasers weren't used, but instead expressed the mood for the film. I ...

Re: Prologue

Anyone else feels that the shot of the terrorist stepping on the violin is Chris Nolan sort of venting his feelings on the whole Aurora shooting? (maybe theater shootings in general) perhaps very subconsiously, i remember him being very affected and offended, the thought of a thug stepping on an in...

Re: The Christopher Nolan Appreciation Thread

I love Joey Pants, and really hope Nolan and him work together. But, I do wonder if the reason he didn't get the Gordan role is because he played Ben Urich in the Daredevil movie, and those characters are very similar. Like, when Frank Miller wrote those characters, they become alternate versions of...

Re: Prologue

I love the teal look of Dunkirk, sort of sea-foam quality. But also, as mentioned before it is a photo-chemical processes that boils down the color gamut. It creates a color harmony across the whole movie. I really like the colours in Nolan movies across the board, I find a lot of modern movies over...

Re: Prologue

I saw the prologue today at the ROS, here is a random list of stuff of cool stuff: - The opening shot feels very much like the opening shots of Dark Knight and Dunkirk, it's like the shot/moment has already happened, in medias res. -the focus pull through the wind shield, showing the rain slowly dro...
